Haley ‘beth Cain, OTR, OTD
Haley ‘beth Cain, OTR, OTD, is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist. She graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and a minor in Applied Physiology with a concentration in pre-occupational therapy. She received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Texas Woman’s University Institute of Health Sciences in Houston, where she was a member of Pi Theta Epsilon Honors Society and served as Secretary of the Student Occupational Therapy Association.
Throughout graduate school, Haley ‘beth gained experience in numerous settings with various populations. She worked at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Susan Gray School, the nation’s first nationally recognized inclusive preschool. There, she provided family-centered therapy services to children both in clinical and classroom settings, while consulting with teachers to integrate effective strategies that enhanced participation and learning. She also worked in acute care at Houston Methodist Hospital, as well as multiple outpatient neurology, hand therapy, and pediatric clinics across Louisiana and Texas, where she built a well-rounded foundation in occupational therapy practice.
For her doctoral capstone, Haley ‘beth combined her passions for dance and occupational therapy by developing an educational program for dance teachers in collaboration with the Houston Ballet. The program promoted inclusive teaching practices to support diverse learning styles in classical ballet instruction.
Haley ‘beth is passionate about helping children build confidence and reach their fullest potential to participate and thrive in their daily activities. She has a special interest in blending her background in dance and movement with occupational therapy to support motor, sensory, and social-emotional development. Outside of work, Haley ‘beth enjoys being a Pure Barre instructor, discovering new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
